Corneal Reshaping Treatment (CRT) - Also known as Orthokeratology

Dr. Winter is certified to fit specially designed contact lenses for the nonsurgical elimination of nearsightedness and astigmatism.

CRT may be performed on children and adults with similar results as LASIK surgery.  The procedure is safe, effective, and reversible.

Contact lenses are fit in such a way as to gently reshape the front surface of the eye (cornea) so that clear vision is obtained.  These lenses are usually worn at night only and improve the eyesight without eyeglasses or contact lenses the next day.

Breakthrough in Soft Bifocal Contact Lenses

We are now able to fit soft contact lenses that correct for both presbyopia (over 40 near vision) as well as astigmatism, nearsightedness and farsightedness.

We inventory large numbers of diagnostic lenses and can provide an opportunity to experience these lenses in the patient’s environment before making a commitment to purchase lenses.

Most of these lenses are available in a material that does not “dry out” as much as previous soft contacts, making them more comfortable and allowing for longer wearing time.
