Our Founder

Dr. James D. Winter and Associates is a general optometry practice with an emphasis on contact lens fittings.  The practice is well known in the Clear Lake area for difficult contact lens fittings and precise optical and contact lens prescriptions.

Dr. Winter is certified to treat and manage eye diseases and is also certified in the corneal reshaping treatment for the elimination of myopia and astigmatism.

We co-manage LASIK, refractive surgery, and cataract surgery.  We accept most vision insurance plans (such as VSP, Eye Med, and Superior Vision) and many medical insurance plans.  We also participate in the Eye Care for Kids Foundation.
